Loong Khun Restaurant opened the doors in the autumn of 2009. Most of the customers are Thai, but quite a few foreigners find their way here as well.

We are located in Ampur Tan Sum at the old main road between Ubon Ratchathani and Phibun Mangsahan. Coming from Ubon we are at the right hand side about 1km before Tan Sum Hospital, and around 4km before Tan Sum . Driving distance from Ubon is more or less 30km depending on your starting point.

The link labeled "Finding Us" will give you more detailed directions. I am in the process of building this site so if the directions is not there, that's because it is not ready yet. Anyway, the road number used to be "222", but the new signs says "4005", so I guess that is what it will be from now on.   

Sompong was born right in the neighborhood of the restaurant. Before Loong Khun Restaurant was opened she was running a restaurant just north of Bangkok, in a suburb called Patum Thani. We still own that place, but it is rented and run by somebody else at the moment.

Sompong is the Chief Cook, specially when it comes to international food. However she have trained the rest of the staff well so they all know how to make a good and tasty meal for you.

As stated at the top we serve international food in addition to Thai and Isan cooking. Have a look at the menu (there are a link at the top).

A lot of the guests are using our karaoke machine while they are here. Some are dining guests, just taking the opportunity to show their ability to perform. Others come solely for singing karaoke, and of course lubricate their vocal chords as well.

We just put up two "Snooker Tables" in an adjacent building, and the patrons are responding well to this new acquisition. Pictures and stuff will be put up at some stage.
